Ceramic press molded rope

To the left is one half of the ropes frayed end.  I pressed wet clay into the mold, let it get leather hard and hollowed it out to roughly 3/8" wall thickness.

Below is an image of some of the 32" rope lengths, the knot, and the frayed end sections.  All are hollow as I intend to use steel rods as the armature to support the sections in place.

The main form is two handbuilt sections.  The seam is covered with the ceramic rope and a knot.

The rope, knot, and frayed ends are press-molded hollow forms.
